FAQs
When are you available to schedule and where are you located?
I see clients by appointment only. Day time and evening hours are available. Currently, all of my services are held via telehealth and can be done in the comfort of your own home or office. I am currently accepting new clients.
Do you accept insurance?
I do not accept insurance at this time. This decision allows me to focus more on providing personalized care and maintaining client confidentiality. Insurance companies often require detailed records and can limit the types of treatment available, which may not always align with the best interests of my clients. However, I can provide detailed receipts for services, which you may submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement.
What are accepted forms of payment?
I accept cash, check, and all major credit cards.
What is a good faith estimate?
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost.
Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance (i.e., those who may have insurance, but are not submitting an out-of-network claim or superbill) an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
What is your cancellation Policy?
Thank you for understanding that my time is reserved specifically for you during our scheduled appointments. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please do so at least 24 hours in advance. Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours notice will incur a cancellation fee. This policy helps ensure that I can offer that time to other clients who may need it. If you have any questions or need to make changes to your appointment, please let me know.
What is the difference between therapy and coaching?
Therapy and coaching are both supportive services, but they differ in several key aspects. Therapy aims to address and treat mental health issues, emotional difficulties, and psychological disorders. Therapists use evidence-based practices and clinical techniques to help clients understand and manage their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
Coaching, on the other hand, is goal-oriented and focuses on personal and professional development, helping clients achieve specific objectives and improve performance. Coaches use motivational and strategic techniques to help clients identify goals, create action plans, and overcome obstacles.
What is reiki?
Reiki is a form of alternative therapy often described as energy healing. Originating in Japan in the early 20th century, Reiki involves the transfer of universal energy from the practitioner to the client through the hands, either by lightly touching or hovering above the body. This practice aims to promote physical, emotional, and spiritual healing by restoring balance to the body's energy fields. Reiki is known for its calming effects, which can reduce stress, alleviate pain, and enhance overall well-being.
Complementary healing arts, such as Reiki, do not require licensing by the state of California.
What is a reiki healing attunement?
This attunement brings high frequency healing energies that are more powerful and effective than those given during regular Reiki sessions. It is highly effective in removing negative energy from the physical body, aura, and chakras and works to help release any emotional, spiritual, mental blocks.
What is a reiki aura clearing?
This reiki treatment is used to remove blocks to life energy that usually take on a particular shape and lodge themselves in or around the organs of the body or in the chakras or aura. This process can assist in the healing of emotional, relational, and spiritual difficulties and restore the healthy flow of life energy within the body.
